Policy Statement


Spotless Cleaning Chicago, with over 50 years of experience in commercial cleaning services, is committed to combating modern slavery, human trafficking, and forced labor in all its forms. We strive to act with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships.


This policy applies to all persons working for or on behalf of Spotless Cleaning Chicago, including employees, directors, officers, and contractors.



Definitions


For the purposes of this policy:

  • Modern Slavery:
    A crime that encompasses slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labor, and human trafficking.
  • Human Trafficking:
    The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring, or receipt of people through force, fraud, or deception, with the aim of exploiting them for profit.
  • Forced Labor:
    Any work or service that people are forced to do against their will under the threat of some form of punishment.
  • Child Labor:
    Work that deprives children of their childhood, their potential, and their dignity, and that is harmful to physical and mental development.


Our Commitments


Spotless Cleaning Chicago is committed to:

  • Prohibiting the use of forced labor, child labor, and human trafficking in our operations.
  • Complying with all applicable labor laws, including those related to minimum wage, working hours, and workplace safety.
  • Ensuring all our employees have the legal right to work and are hired without coercion.
  • Not charging recruitment fees to job applicants or employees.
  • Respecting our employees' rights to agree to terms and conditions of employment voluntarily and to terminate their employment with appropriate notice.
  • Not knowingly working with or engaging companies that participate in any form of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labor, or child labor.


Business Partnerships


Spotless Cleaning Chicago is committed to maintaining ethical business relationships. We:

  • Will not knowingly partner with or use the services of any organization engaged in slavery, human trafficking, forced labor, or child labor.
  • Reserve the right to terminate business relationships with any partner or contractor found to be involved in these practices.
  • Encourage our business partners to implement effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place in their own businesses or supply chains.


Employment Practices


We maintain ethical employment practices, including:

  • Hiring individuals who are legally authorized to work.
  • Ensuring employees meet the legal working age requirements.
  • Providing wages and benefits that comply with applicable laws.
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.


Reporting Concerns


We encourage all employees to report any concerns or suspected violations of this policy, including suspicions about our business partners.

Responsibility & Implementation


The management of Spotless Cleaning Chicago is responsible for implementing and enforcing this policy throughout the organization and in our business relationships.

This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated as necessary to reflect our ongoing commitment to ethical business practices and partnerships.
