Innovative Cleaning Solutions for Modern Structures
Our company is revolutionizing the commercial cleaning industry through advanced clean water drone technology that saves both time and money.
As part of our comprehensive cleaning services, we've embraced drone-based cleaning technology to offer innovative solutions for windows, facades, and large infrastructures. While drone cleaning represents the cutting edge of our service offerings, it's built upon our company's five decades of experience in commercial and industrial cleaning. This foundation gives us unmatched expertise in cleaning chemistry, proven techniques, and safety protocols, positioning us as leaders in this exciting new field.
The Advantages of Our Drone Cleaning Services
Unmatched Efficiency
Complete exterior cleaning projects up to 50% faster than traditional methods. Our specialized drones cover approximately 300 square feet per minute, significantly reducing completion times for large-scale projects.
Enhanced Safety
Protect your workforce by utilizing our drones for elevated cleaning tasks. Traditional methods often expose workers to unnecessary risks, but our drone technology eliminates the need for personnel to operate at dangerous heights.

Cost-Effective Solutions
Reduce your cleaning expenditures by choosing our drone services instead of other methods requiring lifts or scaffolding. By eliminating the need for expensive equipment rentals, we can offer more competitive pricing while delivering superior results.
Comprehensive Exterior Cleaning Solutions
Our drone technology effectively removes dirt, biological growth, AND various contaminants FROM:
Facades & exterior walls
Roofs & overhangs
tanks, towers, & silos
Solar panel arrays
Windows & glass surfaces
Exterior signage
Industrial infrastructure
Monuments & sculptures
Compatible with All Exterior Surfaces
Our specialized drone cleaning systems are safe and effective on virtually any exterior material:

Drone cleaning uses heavy-lift commercial drones equipped with high-pressure water systems, soft-wash chemistry, or rotating brush attachments to clean exterior building surfaces from the air. The drone is tethered to a ground-based water and chemistry supply, controlled by a certified pilot, and reaches surfaces that would otherwise require swing-stage rigging, boom lifts, or rope access. The result is faster cleaning at lower risk for exterior glass, facades, signage, solar arrays, and building exteriors.
Drone cleaning is well-suited for: high-rise window washing, building facade cleaning (brick, stone, concrete, metal, EIFS), solar panel cleaning, large-format signage and logos, parking structure exteriors, stadium and arena exteriors, warehouse and industrial facility exteriors, and visual building inspections. It is not typically used for interior cleaning — for interior elevated work, see our high dusting and ceiling cleaning service.
For many exterior jobs, yes — significantly. Traditional high-rise cleaning requires workers to be suspended on swing stages or working at height on lifts, both of which carry real fall and equipment-failure risk under OSHA walking-working surfaces standards. Drone cleaning keeps the operator on the ground, eliminates fall exposure, removes street-level closure requirements in many cases, and reduces project insurance exposure.
Yes. All Spotless drone operators are FAA Part 107-certified commercial drone pilots. We file the required flight authorizations for restricted airspace (downtown Chicago, areas near Midway and O'Hare), carry commercial drone insurance, and follow FAA guidelines for every flight. Documentation is provided to clients on request.
For many high-rise and large-facade jobs, drone cleaning is significantly less expensive than traditional methods because the equipment cost, mobilization time, and labor hours are lower. For lower buildings (under 4–5 stories), traditional methods often remain more cost-effective. Cost depends on building height, surface area, surface type, access, and chemistry requirements. Yes — and it is one of the fastest-growing applications. Soiled solar panels can lose 15–25% of their power output. Drone cleaning of commercial and industrial solar arrays — rooftop installations, ground-mount arrays, parking canopy systems — uses purified water and soft-wash equipment to restore output without abrasive contact. For warehouse-scale and industrial solar arrays in the I-55, O'Hare, and I-88 corridors, this is significantly faster than ground-based pole cleaning.
Drone cleaning operates from spring through fall in Chicagoland, with weather-dependent scheduling. Wind speed, precipitation, and temperature affect flight safety and water-based cleaning effectiveness. We schedule projects with weather contingency windows built in. Most exterior cleaning happens between April and October.
Yes. From our Chicago location, we service drone cleaning projects throughout Chicagoland — downtown high-rises, suburban office parks, industrial facilities in the I-55 and O'Hare corridors, warehouse and distribution centers, and commercial campuses. Specific airspace restrictions near Midway and O'Hare require advance FAA coordination, which we handle as part of project setup.

Drone cleaning is one of the most significant innovations in commercial exterior maintenance in the last decade. Spotless Cleaning Chicago operates FAA-compliant cleaning drones for facade washing, window cleaning, solar panel cleaning, signage cleaning, and inspection on commercial and industrial buildings across Chicagoland — eliminating the cost, risk, and disruption of swing-stage rigging and lift work for many exterior cleaning jobs.
